Some transport companies don’t tell you the hidden extra cost to be dropped off directly at the airport. Most UK airports charge a terminal drop off fee, which applies to all vehicles.

Airport drop off charges have been introduced over the last few years to reduce pollution and encourage the use of public transport. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, fees should have a set rate of £1 at drop-off points. Although we know this is the official rate, many airports vary and charge significantly more.
